What is Fused Glass?

Links

Artist Info:
I have been pursuing my interest in the visual arts for the past 25 years and have worked in a variety of media, ranging from painting to metal working to photography. Beginning in 2001, I began experimenting with fused glass, creating both one-of-a-kind jewelry and functional art for the home.

Much of my inspiration comes from the materials themselves. I create collages in glass, working with the pieces until they have exactly the right position and color relationship. I find inspiration in the color, texture, and unique geometry of each individual piece. By using multiple layers of patterned glass, I can impart a sense of depth in my jewelry and functional works.
